Texas A&M University will send emergency alerts through Code Maroon's RSS feed and Twitter account. Anyone can receive alerts by subscribing to the RSS feed or following "TAMUCodeMaroon" on Twitter; however, delivery by Twitter cannot be guaranteed since Code Maroon does not manage this notification outlet.
Twitter's "Fast Follow" feature allows you to receive Code Maroon text message alerts without signing up for a Twitter account. Just text "follow TAMUCodeMaroon" to 40404. You will receive a text message confirming your request. Once you have set up "Fast Follow," you can:
- Text "OFF" to 40404 to temporarily stop receiving text message alerts from Twitter.
- Text "ON" to 40404 to begin receiving text message alerts again.
- Text "unfollow TAMUCodeMaroon" to 40404 to stop receiving Code Maroontext message alerts.
Twitter Account Holders
If you have a Twitter account, follow "TAMUCodeMaroon" to see alerts on your Twitter home page. You also have the option to receive alerts via text message through your Twitter account.
